WHO WE ARE:
MOPS is a non-denominational Christian organization designed to encourage mothers with children from birth (or pregnancy/adoption) to kindergarten through relationships and resources. Approximately 3,000 groups meet throughout the United States, Canada and 13 other countries, to meet the needs of more than 100,000 women. These women come from different backgrounds and lifestyles, yet have similar needs and a desire to be the best mothers they can be!
WHAT WE DO:
A MOPS group provides a caring, accepting atmosphere for today's mother of preschoolers. Here she has an opportunity to share concerns, explore areas of creativity and hear instruction that equips her for the
responsibilities of family and community while her children are being cared for.
THE MOPS EXPERIENCE
Mentoring: Mature women listen, encourage, and offer information and perspectives gained through experience.
Practical Instruction: Teaching focuses on areas of common interest, offering inspiration and information that is relevant to the life of a mother.
Leadership Development: MOPS groups are organized and run by mothers of preschoolers, as well as for mothers of preschoolers. Women who are involved in MOPS gain confidence in their leadership skills through the training and experience they receive from MOPS.
Discussion: The intimate and accepting atmosphere of a small group offers moms a chance to share their successes, failures, questions, and concerns. It is during these times that a mom realizes that she is not alone, and lifelong friendships are formed.
Fellowship: MOPS provides an open, caring, and accepting atmosphere where women can come together to share this important season of life.
Creative Activities: Through creative projects and presentations, women are encouraged to experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with trying and finishing new things.
Child care is provided by reservation at all meetings to allow moms a chance to
