WHO WE ARE:
We are a team who gathers articles from committee heads and other writers to publish in the parish newsletter. We format and publish the Epistle monthly from September through June.
WHAT WE DO:
We collect articles on a variety of subjects, including all of the parish ministries, on a rotating schedule. We occasionally write articles as needed to disseminate information. We edit the articles, arrange them in the newsletter, proofread, and publish.
WHEN & WHERE WE MEET:
We don't have regularly scheduled meetings, but communicate mainly through email. Most of the work is
done in the first two weeks of each month. Articles must be submitted by the second Monday of the month before the edition comes out. Turnaround time is then approximately one week before sending the completed newsletter to the printer.
WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME:
If you choose to help as a proofreader/editor or article contributor, we ask that you meet
the deadlines so we can get each issue to print on time. Of course, creativity, a willingness to learn about parish ministries, and an interest in sharing information with others are required to be able to write articles,
and a keen eye for detail is essential to proofreading, as is a basic knowledge of spelling and grammar.
