HAND BELL CHOIR

WHO WE ARE:
We are a small group of parishioners who celebrate our love for God and his church with music, both independently of and in conjunction with, the vocal choir.

WHAT WE DO:
We perform mainly for holidays and special occasions or events. These performances include; Christmas, Easter, Holy Week, and of course the Boars Head Pageant.

WHEN & WHERE WE MEET:
Practices are held at the church, usually on Wednesday nights and/or Sunday mornings, for three to four weeks prior to the performance. Practice times are arranged according to everyone's schedule and usually agreed upon on a week to week basis.

WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME:
Hand bell ringing is a skill that requires rhythm, a certain degree of hand strength, and an appreciation for music. It is not required that you be able to read music, but it is preferred. Because each ringer is responsible for particular bells/notes, to miss a practice or performance is like removing keys from a piano. Therefore we take your commitment to ring very seriously. This being said, to be a part of the choir does not commit you to every performance. Your commitment to participate is given event by event.
