Is Stephen Ministry for you?

Are you prayerfully looking for a way to serve others in the life of the church? Perhaps you should consider Stephen Ministry.

It's a program that teaches laypersons how to provide confidential, one-on-one "distinctively Christian" care to those experiencing special circumstances.

A new Stephen Ministry training class starts tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the parish hall. This is your no-cost, no-obligation chance to "check it out."

Stephen Ministers are not counselors but are trained to be good listeners. Stephen Ministers work with clergy to reach more people with Christian care than clergy can reach by themselves. Stephen Ministers offer God's love and care. They help our parish grow as a loving, nurturing community where we are all cherished and cared for.

If you think Stephen Ministry might be for you, contact Mike McCorstin for an overview of this important ministry, and most of your questions answered.

The most important question you have to answer is the one you ask yourself.
