Christianity Explored helps us learn and grow in our faith with a teaching series which follows Mark's gospel and involves Scriptural study, fun and lots of interaction. It doesn't matter if you are simply exploring for the first time or whether you've been in the church a long time.
Following the Bible, we explore three questions that cut to the heart of Christianity:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did he come?
- What does it mean to follow him?
Each week dinner is served at the start of the evening as an opportunity to relax and enjoy one another's company. The course is normally run in several informal groups of six to nine people, and after briefly discussing the course material from the week before, a talk or DVD on the theme for that week is presented. Then the groups discuss any questions that have arisen, and the evening ends at about 8 p.m. Of course, if you would like, you're welcome to stick around a bit longer for coffee to ask further questions.
You can ask any question you want, at any time, during the course.
Nursery for newborn to age three is provided. Children up to 12 will have children's activities and supervision.
The course will be held again in the Spring of 2012 in the St. James Parish Hall, beginning at 6PM. Cost is $20 a person for course study guide. A $5 donation per person to cover the cost of dinner is suggested. Child care and babysitting are FREE.
