A 5-part series presented by The Rev. Marci Pounders
Wednesday Evenings, at 7:15 pm, St. James, Large Conference Room
February 29, March 7, March 21, March 28, and April 4
Do you feel God as a constant living presence in your life? Or have you become so busy, so stressed, and so electronically distracted that you have lost your sense of The Holy?
Join The Rev. Marci Pounders for the 5-part series, "God Ever Present: Cultivating Holiness in the Season of Lent". Lent is the perfect time to jumpstart our spiritual lives. Through discussion and simple exercises, we'll discover how we can access God in our midst - a real down-to-earth holiness that inspires us to live for God on the spot where we're standing. We'll examine what it means to be fully human, fully alive, and fully engaged in our own walk with Christ.
Author William J. O'Malley's book, Holiness (Orbis Books, 2008) will be our companion through our faith walk. Fr. O'Malley is a Jesuit priest who has published many popular books on spirituality and Christian living. A teacher for over 40 years, his works include Meeting the Living God, Prayers for Busy People, and Redemptive Suffering. You do not need to purchase the book to participate in the classes.
We will meet in the Large Conference Room after the 6:00 pm Holy Eucharist, and our communal Agape Meal. See dates and topics below:
