Lay Eucharistic Visitors

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist cannot be limited to just the congregation present each Sunday. It must be available to all who seek a closer connection with the Lord, including those unable to join us on Sunday.

Trained and subsequently licensed by the Diocese, Lay Eucharistic Visitors (also known as our LEV Ministry) are commissioned by the clergy to perform this service. The Visitors bring the word of God, news of Parish activities, a discussion of the sermon and the opportunity to celebrate the Holy Eucharist to those who are home bound and those temporarily unable attend services, such as families with a newborn. Fellow parishioners and family members may also participate in these visits.

Russ Pate is currently the head of the LEVs at St. James.  If you would like more information about this important ministry, please contact Russ at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 214.341.8673.
