White Rock Center of Hope

WHO WE ARE: 

We are parishioners who believe in giving back to the community by volunteering our time helping those in need.

WHAT WE DO:

We volunteer at the White Rock Center of Hope, a nonprofit ecumenical agency that provides

emergency assistance to the needy of East Dallas.

The White Rock Center of Hope offers assistance to residents of Dallas zip codes 75218, 75228, 75238, and parts of 75214 and 75231.  The Center is located at 10021A Garland Road, (Dallas, TX) near the intersection of Garland and Peavy Roads.   The location provides ample parking and easy access from Garland Road by car or Dallas Area Rapid Transit.

WHEN & WHERE WE MEET:

We meet at the White Rock Center of Hope 10021-A Garland Road on the 1st Saturday of the month from 8:45 – 12:00.

WHAT WILL BE EXPECTED OF ME:                                     

Each person may choose from the following positions

Front Desk: answer phones, greet clients, and assist clients with filling out interview paperwork

Food Pantry: stock shelves & distribute food to clients

Clothing: sort and size clothing donations or work directly with the client in making their clothing and household selections.

Interviewer: make sure that we understand the client’s needs and recommend the most appropriate WRCH action.
